Evita Med Spa is seeking a board certified Dermatologist in the Tallahassee area. This role will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of skin, hair, and nail conditions, while also supporting safe and compliant cosmetic procedures performed by licensed staff under physician supervision.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Conduct comprehensive evaluations of the skin, hair, and nails to diagnose a wide range of dermatological conditions.Diagnose and manage chronic skin conditions such as acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, vitiligo, and seborrheic dermatitis. Evaluate and treat infectious skin diseases, including bacterial, viral, and fungal infections. Perform thorough skin cancer screenings and full-body skin exams, with timely biopsy or referral as needed. Diagnose and manage autoimmune and inflammatory conditions such as lupus, dermatomyositis, and lichen planus. Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests, including lab work, skin cultures, and dermatopathology reports. Create and oversee individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s condition, goals, and medical history. Perform a range of dermatologic procedures, including shave, punch, and excisional biopsies; cryotherapy; electrosurgery; lesion destruction; basic excisions; cyst removals; and referrals for Mohs surgery as clinically indicated. Accurately and efficiently document all patient interactions, diagnoses, and procedures using the clinic’s electronic health record (EHR) system. Educate patients on preventative skincare, long-term management of chronic conditions, and realistic expectations for both medical and cosmetic outcomes. Stay current with advances in dermatology and aesthetic medicine through continuing education, clinical research, and professional development. Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other relevant regulations to protect patient privacy and ensure a safe clinical environment. Provide general supervision to nurse practitioners (NPs) and physician assistants (PAs) performing aesthetic medical procedures, in accordance with Florida Board of Medicine regulations. Develop, implement, and maintain written protocols for delegation and supervision of cosmetic treatments, including lasers, injectables, microneedling, and chemical peels. Review and sign off on patient charts and treatment records completed by supervised NPs/PAs, as required. Remain available for consultation (in person or remotely) during business hours to respond to clinical escalations, adverse events, or patient safety concerns. Oversee and support NP/PA training and performance to ensure compliance with clinical standards, patient safety protocols, and ethical practices. Participate in clinical case reviews, protocol updates, and ongoing quality assurance efforts.
