Description Design Associate - Apparel (Maternity Leave Coverage) Schedule: + 40hrs a week, 3 days per week, onsite in Buckhead, GA. + March through August (Maternity Leave Coverage). About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Design Associate to join our team in Buckhead, GA, on a temporary basis to cover a maternity leave. This role will provide essential support to our Senior Designer, working on a variety of projects within our apparel design process. This is a fantastic opportunity for a budding designer to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment. The position is part-time, 3 days a week onsite in our Buckhead office, from March through August. Responsibilities: + Assist the Senior Designer in all aspects of the design process, from concept development to final production. + Create original designs and adapt existing designs under the direction of the Senior Designer. + Develop technical sketches and flat drawings for garment specifications. + Prepare presentation boards and materials for internal and external reviews. + Conduct trend research and competitive analysis. + Maintain organized design files and sample archives. + Collaborate with the production team to ensure accurate execution of designs. + Other related duties as assigned. Requirements Qualifications: + 1-2 years of experience in apparel design or a related field. + Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is essential. + Strong hand sketching and illustration skills are a must. + Knowledge of garment construction and pattern making is a plus. + Excellent communication and collaboration skills. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. + A passion for fashion and a strong understanding of current trends. + A portfolio demonstrating your design skills is required.
