The Design Center Consultant will work directly with buyers to understand their design preferences and guide them in selecting products that align with their vision. This position requires a strong knowledge in design trends, customer service skills, and the ability to create an exceptional experience for buyers throughout their design journey. Key Responsibilities: + Client Consultation: Meet with clients to understand their design goals, preferences, and budget. Provide expert advice on design options and product selections, including flooring, cabinetry, countertops, lighting, and other home finishes. + Product Knowledge: Stay up to date with the latest design trends and product offerings to educate clients on available choices. Offer professional guidance to help clients make informed decisions. + Customer Service: Build strong relationships with clients and ensure an excellent customer experience from start to finish. Address client questions or concerns promptly and professionally. + Sales Support: Support the sales process by promoting the design center’s products and services, driving sales through consultations, and upselling when appropriate. + Follow-up: Ensure clients are satisfied with their selections and provide post-consultation support as needed. + Additional tasks as needed including scheduling appointments with home buyers, answering phones, filing, organizing, and interacting with both internal and external customers. Qualifications + Strong knowledge of design principles, trends, and materials. + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused mindset. + Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. + Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. + Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, Excel). + Experience in interior design, home improvement, or a related field preferred. + Detail-oriented, self-disciplined and organized with excellent follow-up. + Desired Skills: + Exceptional attention to detail. + Ability to think creatively and problem-solve. + Strong organizational and time-management skills. + Knowledge of home improvement products and materials.
