Design Coordinator

What You'll Do
As a Design Coordinator, you will play a key role in optimizing our corporate real estate assets to support an exceptional workplace experience. You will assist the project team with programming, workplace strategy, reporting, requirement gathering, and maintaining standards. This position is a 24-month contract role with potential opportunities to work on transformative initiatives across the organization.
Project Coordination & Design:
+ Support project teams, project managers, and cross-functional teams in the execution of a large multi-phase workplace transformation project.
+ Coordinate activities across internal teams, external vendors, and consultants.
+ Prepare detailed documentation such as floor plans, specifications, and project reports for stakeholders.
+ Maintain and validate programming and capacity metric databases.
+ Participate in stakeholder and end-user requirement gathering sessions to understand their workplace needs, goals, and functional requirements.
+ Conduct site analyses, including space utilization studies, occupancy assessments, and workflow analysis.
Administrative Support:
+ Maintain project documentation and ensure accurate record-keeping.
+ Coordinate meetings, prepare presentations, and disseminate information to stakeholders.
+ Maintain project filing systems (e.g., SharePoint) and ensure compliance with corporate protocols.
+ Maintain and update weekly project status reports with input from the project team.
What You Bring
Education & Experience:
+ Degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture or a related discipline preferred.
+ 3-5 years of professional experience in interior design, project coordination, or a similar role within corporate real estate.
Skills & Competencies:
+ Knowledge of corporate interior design strategy and design coordination.
+ Experience in a fast-paced, matrixed organizational structure.
+ Sharp analytical skills and a high degree of initiative and responsibility.
+ Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
+ Problem solver with the ability to analyze and prioritize to meet business objectives.
+ Collaborative team player.
Technical Skills:
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
+ Proficiency in Adobe Suite, AutoCAD, and/or Revit.
+ Experience with project documentation and reporting tools.
