Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Design Engineer with over 10 years of engineering expertise and a minimum of 5 years designing solenoids and valves. Preference will be given to candidates with pneumatic valve design experience. The ideal candidate will have a profound understanding of electromechanical systems and a proven track record in product development from concept through production.

ResponsibilitiesLead the design and development of solenoids and solenoid valves, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain, to ensure seamless product integration and delivery.Utilize advanced CAD software (e.g., Solidworks) for modeling, drafting, and detailing designs.Conduct thorough analyses, including thermal, structural, fluid dynamic, vibration, and tolerance assessments, to validate design integrity.Engage with customers to define explicit requirements and provide technical direction throughout the project lifecycle.Essential SkillsValve design and design engineering experience.Proficiency in Solidworks.Experience with valves, solenoids, fluid systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.Mechanical design engineering including new product development and introduction.Ability to conduct mechanical analyses such as thermal, structural, fluid dynamic, vibration, and tolerance assessments.Knowledge of GD&T, mechanical design, drafting, and project management.Experience with CAD software.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience and 5 years minimum designing solenoids and valves, preferably within the Aerospace & Defense industry.Pneumatic valve design experience is a plus.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
