We are seeking a dedicated Design Engineer who will primarily work on workholding fixtures, which may be manual, pneumatic, or hydraulic. These projects are typically small to mid-sized, but some can become quite involved. The projects usually require 20-100 hours of engineering time. The engineer will manage these projects from start to finish, including building and assembling everything in-house. Approximately 60-70 percent of the day will be spent behind the CAD station.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop workholding fixtures (manual, pneumatic, or hydraulic).Manage projects from start to finish, including in-house assembly.Utilize CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, for design work.Collaborate with other engineers and teams within the company.Ensure all designs meet quality and safety standards.Essential SkillsMinimum of 2 years of experience in fixture or tooling design.Proficiency in 3D CAD software, with SolidWorks preferred.Knowledge of machine design.Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or an Associate's degree preferred, but not required.Experience in machine design and GD&T is a plus.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $43.00
