Job Description

As Design Engineer, you will work with cross functional teams to continuously improve cost and quality of products within a structured product design/development process.  Your work will contribute to our cost improvement objectives of our business.

Learn and apply lean product design and development tools, systematic problem solving and critical thinking to continuous improvement projects. Liaison with supply chain personnel, product engineers, vendors, and manufacturing staff for the specification and sourcing of raw materials, components, and final products.Develop Design Validation Plans, coordinate testing, and provide hands-on troubleshooting to ensure requirements are met.Assure product quality with thorough validation of production processes with direct support of plant trials.Participate in internal design meetings to understand design and functional requirements.Execute experiments with guidance from more senior engineers and document results; makes recommendations for improvements based on the test results.

QualificationsB.S. degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electro-Mechanical / Mechatronic preferred).0-2 years in Mechanical/Design Engineering.Good mechanical aptitude.Conceptualization, visualization and creativity.knowledge of 3-D Parametric Solid Modeling (Solid Works is a plus).Ability to perform detail-oriented work accurately.Time management, prioritization & analytical problem solving.                                                            Adaptable, able to adjust to ongoing changes and improvements. Self-motivated and collaborative.                           Good written and oral communication skills.Desire to work hands-on, prototype and troubleshoot proactively.Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
