As Design Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to work with our highly-skilled senior engineering staff and CAD technicians to develop design submittals for ground improvement systems and geostructural systems to be built by our Foundations Division, a national leader to specialty geotechnical construction. Design submittals will consist of drawings and supporting calculations developed by applying geotechnical and structural engineering principles through a combination of analytical methods and state-of-the-art numerical modeling software. Types of design will primarily include, but are not limited to: rigid inclusions, aggregate piers, soil mixing, compaction grouting, chemical grouting, and dynamic compaction. You will also be asked to assist with advanced modeling analysis for geostructural systems including deep foundation systems and earth retaining structures. Our team works on all types and sizes of projects, including commercial buildings, highways and bridges, industrial facilities, civil infrastructure, marine structures, and military facilities. As design engineer, you will also be involved with preliminary engineering for prospective projects during bid-time, and with QA/QC review during production phases. Project site visits may be periodically required but are not routine. Long-distance (non-local) travel will be minimal. The anticipated salary range is $76,000 to $99,000. This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current market data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual’s skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
