The Payloads Organization within Boeing Commercial Aircraft is seeking an Associate, Mid-Level or Senior Design Engineer to join the SoCal Interiors Responsibility CenterTeam in Long Beach, CA. 

In this role you will contribute in the development and release of interior components. Your work will include interacting with teams in the following fields: Project and production engineering, program/product teams, management, and technical staff to define and implement engineering solutions. 

Position Responsibilities:

Assists to develop, integrate and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system designDevelops, maintains and modifies basic structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecyclePerforms tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specificationsAssists with supplier development, test and production activities and coordination with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goalsSupports investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirementsWorks under general supervision.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

3+ years’ related work experience5+ years’ related work experiencePrevious Payloads (Interiors) experienceExperience with CATIA

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range Associate: $80,750 - $109,250

Summary pay range Mid-Level: $96,050 - $129,950

Summary pay range Senior: $120,700 - $163,300
