Job Description

For our Danfoss Bock product line in the Climate Solutions segment, we are currently seeking a Design Engineer (m/f/d) to support our team at our Frickenhausen site near Stuttgart. 

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. 

• You will coordinate directly with our customers and product managers to develop design solutions and optimizations within the product application.

• You will also work closely with suppliers to jointly implement the best possible and cost-effective manufacturing processes for machined parts, casting models, and welding solutions.

• You will be creatively active in presenting ideas and designs in models, assemblies, and drawings of mobile and stationary reciprocating compressors.

• You will also be responsible for the computational design and verification of CAD design models with regard to the properties and behavior of strength, tribology, and fluid and gas flows.

• You will be able to interpret measurement and test results (pressures, temperatures, vibrations).

• You will ensure that our newly developed parts and assemblies comply with standards and applicable guidelines, and that DFMEA analyses are carried out.

To be successful in this position, you have a degree in engineering or completed technical training. In addition, the following are important to us:

Solid mechanical and electrical knowledge, ideally in reciprocating engine construction Basic knowledge of materials and manufacturing technologies Experience in the development of series products (cost- and production-optimized) as well as specialist knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid power, and fluid dynamics are desirable but not essential Basic knowledge of 3D CAD tools, preferably SolidWorks Experience in project-oriented work is a further plus Broad range of ideas and strong creativity Working independently in a team and on projects is a given for you Employee Benefits
