Work will include analysis & generation of Article Statements, SVHC Reports, other products, and compliance reporting for currently marketed products. Activities will include substance-compliance requirements-engineering, interpretation of regulatory requirements, EUMDR and substance justification for new product and product line extension programs. He/she will be part of an international, geographically dispersed team. The Engineer will also be involved in Environmental Sustainability efforts of the company, including efforts to quantify and reduce environmental impact and carbon footprint. Job Responsibilities may include: + Data migration, integration, and interpretation and summarization of complex information + Generating and assessing bills of materials (BOM) for current and future BD products + Maintaining and improving substance-compliance capabilities + Communicating with customers and suppliers related to product compliance assessments of products and purchased raw materials, respectively + Monitoring regulatory changes globally (REACH, RoHS, California Proposition 65, Conflict Minerals, Waste Directives, EU MDR, etc.) + Collect substantive information and evidence to support regulatory compliance claims. + Product environmental impact evaluation through Life Cycle Assessment and other tools. + Other duties as assigned. Ability to establish trust and mutual respect + when working with other people regardless of professional or cultural background + Experience working in international business environment preferred + Able to work under pressure to manage competing demands and meet tight deadlines with + strong follow-through + Strong fit with BD values Qualifications: + Minimum Bachelor’s degree and 1-4+ years' experience + Experience in Substance Compliance in medical device / chemical / petrochemical / life science and technology-driven company, preferred. + Experience with enterprise data system, such as SAP or MFG Pro, preferred + Experience with polymers and their formulation, strongly preferred + Experience with computer programming and database management, preferred Education: BE / BTech / ME / MTech in Polymer Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, Chemistry, or closely related field.
