Design Lead – Data Centres – Ireland

 

Our client is an established main contractor working across Europe specialising in the delivery of Data Centre construction projects on behalf of global blue-chip clients. They offer a full turnkey service for their clients from design, construction and handover across the full range of CSA (civil, structural, architectural), MEP (mechanical and electrical) and commissioning works 

 

The need now exists for an experienced Design Lead to join the team working on a Hyper-Scale Data Centre new build scheme in Ireland.

 

Responsibilities

 

Design Oversight Lead and manage the CSA design process, ensuring all civil, structural, and architectural designs align with project goals. Team Leadership Supervise and guide CSA design teams, ensuring effective collaboration across disciplines and with other project departments. Regulatory & Quality Compliance Ensure all designs meet local regulations, industry standards, and quality benchmarks for safety and functionality. Stakeholder Engagement Act as the primary liaison with clients, contractors, and external consultants, ensuring clear communication and project alignment. Project Delivery & Risk Management Oversee design delivery on time and within budget, identifying and mitigating risks related to CSA aspects of the project.

 

Requirements

 

MEP & CSA background required. (Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial engineering preferred but Architectural / Structural / Civil could be acceptable)

Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in the Construction industry.

Solid experience required coordinating multidisciplinary teams.

Project management experience across all design phases (design fees time / cost management)
