Your Role

As a Gensler Project Manager in Atlanta, you will leverage your attention to detail and interpersonal skills to deliver exceptional client projects on time and within budget. Grow your project management experience while working on trendsetting projects across practice areas. A focus for the role will be managing multiple fast-paced mid-size projects. The ideal candidate for this role will have strong project management skills and will also be able to produce drawings and specifications as needed.

What You Will Do

Manage project teams for fast-paced, multisite design and implementation projectsManage all phases, including project set-up, programming, design, and construction administrationEstablish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationshipsEngage directly with clients or client stakeholders to ensure approvalsManage project scheduling, staffing/productivity, budgets, project set-up with clients, sub-contractors, vendors and consultantsTrack the financial performance of projectsPrepare project proposal, negotiate fees and contracts for projectsCoordinate bidding processEnsure projects conform to contractCreate and communicate clear and attainable project objectives and project requirementsActively support firmwide sustainability and resilience goals, guiding clients and project teams toward multi-benefit sustainable and resilient design solutionsActively mentor the next generation of leadership by inspiring, empowering and leading by example. You will be responsible for advancing an integrated design culture on your projects within the studio, including mentoring, resources, discourse, initiatives and recruiting of team membersChampion Gensler’s diversity and inclusion goals with respect to teammates, partners, and consultants

Your Qualifications

8-15 years’ experience as a Project Manager (or Senior Architect with project management experience) within a commercial architecture and design firm managing multiple, fast paced projects simultaneously; project sizes range from single level 2,500 sq ft to multi-level 40k sq ftExperience with commercial projects such as interior design and interior architecture for Retail & Consumer Experience spacesExperience leading projects of a variety of scales, and mentoring and collaborating with Interior Designers and ArchitectsStrong leadership, organization, communication and interpersonal management skillsAbility to develop collaborative relationships across the firm, with clients, and with other key constituentsCommitment to a collaborative design processExperience negotiating project scope and feesKnowledge of local building codes and standardsProfessional degree (Master or Bachelor) in Architecture from an accredited programLicensed / Registered Architect + LEED accreditation are preferredProven experience mentoring and coaching junior team membersProven experience building trust with clients and developing client relationships
