As we continue to deliver evolve, we are looking for an experienced Design Manager to join our Western Australian team.
About the role
The Design Manager will be leading and coordinating the design process for renewable energy projects, including Solar Farms, BESS, and Wind Farm projects in WA. You will ensure designs meet safety, environmental, and operational standards while adhering to project budgets and timelines.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
Prepare and coordinate concept designs for tenders and bids, ensuring all design elements are integrated and aligned.Support the estimating team by generating engineering quantities and RFQ packages for bids.Develop and maintain the Design Plan throughout the tender or project lifecycle and administer the design filing system.Ensure all necessary design reviews, verifications, and validations are planned, conducted, and incorporated into the design.Oversee constructability, monitor design resource effectiveness, and ensure the design team supports procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.Your skills and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent qualification.Demonstrated expertise in Renewable Energy projects, including Commercial / Industrial Solar Farms and Battery Storage systems.Proven design and construction experience in HV Power Systems projects.Ability to develop concept designs for innovative energy solutions.Strong understanding of safety and environmental compliance in design and constructionProficiency in design software (e.g., Autodesk CAD, PSCAD, PVsyst), MS Office Suite, and basic planning/supply chain tools.Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, coupled with a positive, team-oriented attitude.Please note that relevant screening checks will be conducted as part of the recruitment process.
