Design Release Engineer - Intermediate - PSP

Job Summary:

Our client in Brampton, ON is looking for a Design Release Engineer - Intermediate - PSP. This is a contract position.

What You Will Do:

Design Release Engineer (DRE) - Body Closures responsibilities include but are not limited to:

The Side Closures Release Engineer will be responsible for the engineering, design, development, timing and validation of side door sheet metal assemblies. This will include packaging all the directed components along with analyzing the design to ensure it meets requirements. The engineer will work with the extended vehicle team for production implementation. The Side Closures Release Engineer will execute component standardization and reuse, DVP, best practices and lessons learned and will maintain functional objectives, DFMEA's, DVPR's and standards., and competitive benchmarking.

The side closures release engineer will also need to support launch and product validation activities with frequent visits to the assembly plant, labs, and supplier facilities.

Self-starter with strong leadership and communication skills, and demonstrated problem-solving ability.

Basics:

Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. 3-5 Years experience in Body in White and/or closures Engineering Experience. 3+ Years experience with Team Center and Siemens NX. Proficient in MS-Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook). Knowledge of DFMEA, DVP&R, GD&T. Strong Engineering Design Project Presentation Skills. Ability to work remotely.

Preferred:

Master’s degree in engineering. Please list Bachelor's on the resume as well.
