About the role

Join Coles as a Design Researcher and play a pivotal role in shaping customer experiences across our digital platforms. Collaborating closely with researchers, designers, and stakeholders, you will be involved in all facets of the research process—from planning and usability testing to analysis and reporting. As an advocate for diverse customer groups, you will drive a customer-obsessed culture and enhance our digital assets through inclusive design. You will educate teams across the business on customer insights and usability, ensuring a shared understanding of our users' needs. Under the guidance of the Service Design & Research Manager and Senior Design Researchers, you’ll identify and integrate complex business requirements into your research efforts. Your ability to collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, engineering teams, and external design agencies will be crucial in bringing innovative experiences to life. About you and your skills

Demonstrated skill in research, focus groups, usability testing and CX Your research work has contributed to the measurable success of one or more impactful consumer-facing products at scale. You have experience conducting quantitative and qualitative user research via various methodologies (remote usability testing, research interviews, focus groups and surveys) and leveraging data to measure the efficacy of product designs. Experience in moderated and unmoderated customer testing Experience with website IA navigation testing considered favourable Expert storyteller through presentations and reports that tells the customer point of view
