Department: International Design Hub

Reports to: Senior Manager - International Design

Location: Bengaluru, India

Job summary

As the Design Team Manager, you’ll lead, mentor, and develop our International Design Support Team, focusing on high-quality design outputs and timely delivery to support international sales.

Managing day to day operations, providing strategic, creative design direction/support by collaborating with multiple stakeholders and organizational functions.

This role also involves driving innovation within the team by adopting new technologies, such as AI-powered design software and automation tools, to optimize processes and enhance service delivery.

Specific responsibilities

Leadership and Team Development:

Coach, train, and manage a team of designers, ensuring alignment with business objectives and high performance.Support skill development, including training on emerging technologies and tools relevant to design.

Innovative Technology Integration:

Identify and adopt new technologies, including AI-powered design tools, to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability in design operations.Stay informed on industry trends and advancements in design software and technology to ensure our team remains competitive.

Strategic Planning and Process Improvement:

Lead process improvement initiatives, integrating automation and AI-driven solutions to streamline workflows.Collaborate with stakeholders to understand technology needs, ensuring that technology adoption aligns with business and client requirements.

Customer and Market Engagement:

Collect and analyse feedback from clients and channel partners to improve service offerings and introduce innovative solutions.

Quality Assurance and Service Excellence:

Ensure that all design outputs meet quality standards, leveraging new technologies to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction

Job holder requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Design, Business or related field.10+ of experience in Interior Design and/or furniture application at a Design Firm, Dealer, and/or Manufacturer with 3+ years of management experience.Technical proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Sketch-Up, CET and pCon and experience or willingness to adopt new AI-based design tools.Ability to analyse and implement new technology to optimize team performance and design quality.Hands on experience working on front-end commercial dealings – including interacting with Clients, Architects, Dealers etc. on design, cost and application solutions.Experienced in international business, and c-suite audiencesCulturally awareA customer first focus showing strong commitment to external and internal customer satisfaction.Comfortable working in a busy and time-bound environmentDemonstrated ability to build long-term relationships with customers and business partners.Analytical skills required – analysis, problem solving and project management.Excellent interaction skills: Consultative, professional communication, negotiation, empathy, coach and conflict resolution.Prepared for occasional travel throughout InternationalProficient in English (writing and vocal).  A second language is a benefit.
