Cleaver Brooks Sales and Service is looking for a Designer 3D Modeler to join our team in Dallas, TX. The Designer 3D Modeler will work side by side with other designers, draftsmen and engineers. They should be proficient with analyzing and interpreting data and systems information and using it to create working Models in Inventor/ Plant 3D and 2D drawings in AutoCAD. They must be proficient in expediting the process of converting information into clean, easy to understand working documents and drawings. They are pivotal in the communication process between the customer, manufacturing and our project management teams both in the office and in the field.

Essential functions:
While using Inventor/ Plant 3D build models and drawings from a variety of written and verbal information. Review models and drawings of designs and equipment in order to verify all technical data, standards and measurements to be correct and properly formatted. Utilize best-in-class tools to develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Mentor designers in the development of drafting skills. Work alongside engineers and designers to drive innovative design solutions. Ensure the timely, thorough, and accurate completion of engineering services and projects. Evaluate current process and capabilities and introduces new processes. Create material estimates, take offs and BOM for project estimates and bids. Create design, installation, and start up documents (drawings, specification, operating guidelines, etc.) Provides technical support to other designer/draftsmen for problem resolution and training with AUTODESK material. Oversee the maintenance of Engineering department files. All other duties as assigned by the Engineering ManagerBasic Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor of Science degree, in an Engineering discipline a plus. Military training highly desired in a technical field (nuclear power, gas turbine, boiler, etc.). Extensive Autodesk/Autocad/Inventor/Plant 3D Experience a Must Formal training with Inventor/Solidworks a Must Formal training in LEAN, SixSigma or TOC , Project managment a plus Ability to get a TWIC Card a MustExperience:
Minimum 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment. Minimum 3-5 years experience in boiler and steam plant design, refinery, chemical plant, and piping design. Minimum 10 years experience with Inventor, Autodesk Strong understanding of technical data, drawings, tables and document formatting Proficiency with 2D and 3D design applications (AutoCAD & Inventor& Plant 3D) Demonstrated Project Management Experience Strong skills in written and verbal communication Demonstrated ability to set and achieve goals with minimum supervision. Demonstrated solid teamwork, communication, and planning skills required.Travel Requirements:
+/- 25% domestic travel and potentially international travel; travel will consist of visiting clients and/or project sites, visiting other CBSS locations, etc.Personal Characteristics
