Miller Brother Staffing in York, PA has the immediate need of an experienced Designer.
PAY RATE – $50,000 to $60,000 annually based on experience
SHIFT – 1st Shift | Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch). Hours in the field vary by customer requirements.
We are seeking a highly motivated Designer to join the team at our client site in York, PA. This role is responsible for the design of electrical and electro-mechanical assemblies for high-speed automation, including robotics. The ideal candidate will contribute to innovation and support the engineering department with creative, cost-effective design solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:Design and detail electrical equipment parts and systems
Create panel layouts and interconnection diagrams
Support R&D through innovative and original ideas
Design assemblies focused on safety, durability, and cost efficiency
Interpret and incorporate electrical drawings/models from clients and vendors
Secondary Responsibilities:Drafting electrical components and panel layouts
Purchase project-related components
Support change requests from the electrical department
Interface with vendors for updates and applications
Assist in troubleshooting during shop assembly
Requirements:2-year Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering or 5+ years of related experience
Proficient in 2D drafting software (AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical); Autodesk Vault a plus
Strong skills in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
Working knowledge of electrical design and components (contactors, relays, PLCs, VFDs, transformers, sensors, etc.)
Problem-solving ability and attention to detail
Team player with excellent communication skills
UL 508A MTR certification or willingness to obtain
Willingness to travel for site evaluations and equipment commissioning
Ability to lift 35–50 lbs and perform hands-on tasks
