Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Drafter/Designer with strong knowledge of Solidworks to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of experience in drafting and design, with a proven ability to set up and organize models, and understand how parts work together within a PDM system. This role involves immediate project needs and new incoming projects, requiring a proficient drafter who can work both independently and collaboratively.
ResponsibilitiesCreate and draft models using Solidworks and AutoCAD.Set up and organize models efficiently.Understand and implement PDM processes.Work on mechanical drafting and design projects.Collaborate with the team to ensure project requirements are met.Review and refine drafts to meet specific needs.Potentially work on custom engineering millwork projects.Essential SkillsProficiency in Solidworks and AutoCAD.Experience with Solidworks Enterprise PDM.3-5 years of working experience in drafting and design.Strong understanding of mechanical drafting and 3D modeling.Ability to set up and organize models effectively.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in cabinets/millwork or fabrication is a plus.Experience in parts manufacturing or acoustical sheet metal.Experience in shipbuilding is acceptable.Familiarity with exporting to CNC machines.Ability to work evenings or weekends as needed.Potential for contract-to-hire based on performance.Work Environment
The position could be a hybrid role for highly skilled candidates proficient in Solidworks, otherwise, it will be fully onsite. The work environment includes flexible hours with the possibility to work evenings or weekends. The role is located in the Stihl building with a potential move to the main building. The team works on custom engineering millwork, focusing on parts components and assemblies.
