Design Engineer (HVAC)
About the Role: As a Design Engineer HVAC, you will be responsible for designing and developing HVAC systems for commercial and industrial buildings. You will work closely with the project team to ensure that the systems meet the client's requirements and are compliant with industry standards. Your end goal will be to deliver high-quality HVAC systems that are energy-efficient, cost-effective, and reliable. This role requires a strong understanding of HVAC design principles, as well as experience with AutoCAD and other design software. Minimum Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field + 3+ years of experience in HVAC design and engineering + Strong understanding of HVAC design principles and industry standards + Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software + Excellent communication and collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications: + Professional Engineer (PE) license + Experience with energy modeling software (e.g. eQUEST, EnergyPlus) + Knowledge of building codes and regulations + Experience with project management and leadership Responsibilities: + Design and develop HVAC systems for commercial and industrial buildings + Collaborate with project team to ensure systems meet client requirements and industry standards + Perform calculations and analysis to ensure systems are energy-efficient and cost-effective + Create detailed drawings and schematics using AutoCAD and other design software + Provide technical support during installation and commissioning of HVAC systems Skills: As a Design Engineer HVAC, you will use your expertise in HVAC design principles and software proficiency to create energy-efficient and cost-effective HVAC systems. You will collaborate with the project team to ensure that the systems meet client requirements and industry standards. Your strong communication and collaboration skills will be essential in providing technical support during installation and commissioning of the systems. Additionally, your knowledge of building codes and regulations, as well as experience with project management and leadership, will be beneficial in this role.
