System One is currently seeking a  Designer on a 12 month contract position located in Inver Grove Heights, MN. 

Designer Responsibilities: Organizing and digitizing drawing documentation for gas plants that have recently come under our management. The current state of documentation is poor, requiring significant effort to bring it up to standard. Review numerous physical drawing files.  Scan files into an electronic format.  Document and categorize scanned drawings. Title and organize drawings in the drawing repository.  Ensure all drawings are attributed correctly to work with the filing system. Implement minor markups as needed based on plant feedback. Make necessary O&M (operations and Maintenance) changes.  Perform light design work related to O&M changes, as required.  Look through, scan, and document physical drawing files. Work with the plants staff for these drawings.  Ensure all drawings are correctly attributed and categorized according to the filing system.  Coordinate with project managers, project engineers, and plant engineers for electronic updates and drawing revisions. Implement markups received from engineers, project managers, electricians or maintenance personnel (red and green lines).  This role involves a mix of independent work on documentation and collaboration with various team members to ensure all drawings are up-to-date and accurately maintained. 
Designer Requirements:  At least 2-3 years of experience with a degree or 5-6 years of experience without. Proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation software.  Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, Experience in an industrial or owner plant setting (e.g., power plants, or manufacturing) is preferred over office/design/commercial settings.  Background in mechanical or electrical engineering is preferred.  Relevant experience in similar industries, such as power plants or industrial settings, is highly valued.  Must possess a valid Drivers Licenses for occasional travel to other sites. While a degree is not required, commensurate experience in the absence of a degree is acceptable.

Duration: 12 months 
Pay Rate: $27-29/hr
