Job Title: Designer
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Designer to develop physical, schematic, and wiring drawings using CAD software. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating CAD drawings for fabricated parts and assemblies, participating in product design and process improvement initiatives, and collaborating with internal departments and vendors.

ResponsibilitiesCreate physical, schematic, and wiring drawings with CAD software from sketches, vendor data, drawing templates, verbal instructions, and notes provided by engineering.Develop CAD drawings for fabricated parts and assemblies for construction, including bill of material and notes.Participate in product design and process improvement initiatives.Understand and apply industry drawing standards.Follow division drafting procedures and work instructions.Develop new and modify existing drawing standards and procedures to improve quality and productivity.Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to design and detail components and systems.Participate in design problem resolution.Identify and select appropriate components for assembly drawings from the company's MRP system and vendor catalogs.Assist engineers with design reviews.Maintain design project schedules.Track and report on project status.Review drawings of others for adherence to company standards.Act as a mentor for other drafting personnel.Essential SkillsProficiency with Inventor, Mechanical Design, and 3D Design.Associate’s degree in drafting or design technologies with a minimum of 5 years of drafting and design experience, or equivalent education and experience.Advanced knowledge of 3D drawing systems and techniques.Advanced knowledge of industry standards for drawings including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.Advanced interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to read and create technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and material.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deliverable deadlines.Advanced computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office products and drafting software.Work Environment

The position operates in a standard office environment. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm with a lunch break from 12-1. Overtime may be required as needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
