Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Drafter to join our team. The ideal candidate will use computer-aided drafting software to develop layouts, drawings, and designs that meet engineering specifications. You will review engineering drawings, analyze designs, and retrieve information to complete drawings, layouts, or designs. Additionally, you will assist engineers with projects and process improvements in the factory.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop layouts, drawings, and designs using computer-aided drafting software.Review and analyze engineering drawings to ensure designs meet specifications.Retrieve and utilize information to complete drawings, layouts, or designs.Use detailed drawings or engineering specifications to dimension, scale, or line locate.Assist engineers with projects and process improvements in the factory.Direct the work of factory workers.Essential SkillsExperience with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D drafting software.Familiarity with a variety of field concepts, practices, and procedures.Extensive experience and judgment in planning and accomplishing goals.Ability to multitask and handle multiple projects simultaneously.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.Additional Skills & QualificationsA wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.Work Environment
95% of the time will be spent working in an office environment, with the remaining 5% on the production floor answering questions or clarifying details. The company is moving into a new facility in the summer and offers the opportunity to work for an industry leader.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
