We are looking for a Designer/Drafter Intern to join our Materials Engineering Group for the summer of 2025. Projects include creating SolidWorks models from older CAD drawings or hand drawings, making new drawings to MTS standards, creating or modifying Bills of Materials within SAP, writing and processing Engineering Changes Notices, and working with an Engineer on design changes. The main product effort relates to MTS Extensometers. An extensometer is a high precision strain measurement device for materials characterization for tensile or fatigue tests. Other products may include hydraulic grips and/or load frames. This full-time, paid internship is located on-site in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. You'll be part of a collaborative team, working with a mentor, engineer, and manager to complete a project(s) from start to finish during the summer. Plus, with flexible start and end dates, you can tailor the experience to your schedule. Throughout the program, you'll have opportunities to attend networking events, both within MTS and across ITW’s divisions in Minnesota. You’ll also enjoy personal and professional development sessions, plus fun activities like baseball games, happy hours, and summer sports leagues. At the end of the summer, you'll present your project work to MTS business leaders, showcasing your contributions and impact. If you're ready for a summer filled with learning, growth, and excitement, the MTS Systems Internship Program is for you! **Qualifications** + Pursuing an Engineering Drafting & Design degree (MDES) or equivalent. + Future degree is Associate of Applied Science (AAS) certified. + Experience with SolidWorks. + Good verbal communication skills. + Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines + Eager to learn, with a proactive and positive attitude. + Work in a team and independently. + Work with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel). + Must be able to work onsite at our Eden Prairie, MN location. **Compensation Information:** The hourly rate for this position ranges from $20-$24/hour based on degree and experience.
