Job Description This Level 1 Designer for a top tier local energy company within the DER Solar engineering group, will include day to day activities like focusing on upgrades for solar connections on the distribution side of the business. Handle customer-owned solar systems applications, screening, and engineering processes. Work on smaller scale projects like transformer upgrades and pole-to-house connections. Conduct site checks, take notes and pictures, research, and create upgrade plans. Prepare cost estimates and design scopes for DER, which are sent to customers. Apply for permits, compile bills, and collaborate with construction groups. Requires own car for job site visits, primarily in the metro area but occasionally in outer parts of CO.
