Desk Attendant POAH Communities, an exciting and highly entrepreneurial organization committed to community development and to preserving ‘at risk’ affordable rental housing, is seeking a highly qualified individual to serve as a part-time Desk Attendant working approximately 28 hours per week.
Responsibilities: Monitor visitors at the assigned building and protect the property with the objective of minimizing risks. Maintain the visitor registry and report any known or suspected criminal activity to the police and Property Manager. Seek to prevent property damage, monitor for fire and safety issues and help emergency responders gain access to the building in the event of medical events involving residents, visitors and staff. Be punctual and not leave their work station until a relief person takes over the operation, or until a work shift ends where leaving the work station has been pre-approved by the supervisor. Job Requirements 1 year of reliable work experience. Demonstrated leadership skills. Flexibility, positive attitude, team orientation and willingness to learn are a must. Strong verbal, written and customer service communication skills are essential. Computer proficiency (specifically in MS-Word, Excel and Outlook).
