Desk Operations Coordinator
Overview **This position will be physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP** This position will perform all Desk Operations functions for the PMO that deal with dispatching initial response to accidents or incidents, providing emergency notifications IAW notification matrix provided by the USG, and plotting recording responses to accidents and incidents. Coordinate with the US Army Crimes Record Center (CRC) for the submission of appropriate Military Police Reports (MPRs) IAW AR 190-45 and CRC policies and procedures. Monitor IDS (intrusion detector system) and CCTVs (closed-circuit television systems). #LI-TM1 Responsibilities This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company. Record incidents and offenses occurring in a 24-hour period in the Computer Aided Dispatch System (CAD) and all applicable DA Forms, FM forms, IAW AR 190-40, AR 190-45, or at the direction of the Provost Marshal. Prepare and submit complete reports of incidents that are considered security breaches, violations of administrative regulations, or special instructions as outlined in general and special orders. Answers emergency and non-emergency phones calls via landline, VoIP, Whatsapp or cell phone process, prioritize and documents in the Computer Aided Dispatch System (CAD). Provide emergency notifications IAW notification matrix provided by the USG and ESD Notification matrix. Monitor communication channels with Law enforcement and dispatch appropriate response during emergencies. Prepare and submit SMS Alert text messages, when applicable. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of radio transmission, broadcasting, control and operation of telecommunication systems Safeguard evidence until turned over to the PMO Evidence Custodian using DA Form 4137, Evidence/Property Custody Document, which shall be filed for all evidence being held. Operate the Army Law Enforcement Reporting and Tracking System (ALERTS) and the Emergency Resporting System (ERS) Monitor fire alarm system equipment, IDS, Closed-Circuit Televisions Systems (CCTV), intrusion detection, vehicle tracking and coordinates for patrol, fire, or EMS response upon activation. Provide disposition of lost and found property by recording, processing, and returning property to owners, or properly disposing of unclaimed property per AR 190-45 and ASG-KU Policy. Complete official police reports on the results of investigations conducted. Will be cross-trained as Emergency Services Dispatchers Perform all other duties and assignments as required or as directed. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma required, AA or BA/BS Degree preferred. Must Be a US Citizen Must Be at least 21 years of age. Have a valid US Passport Have a current and valid US Driver’s License Will meet United States Government (USG) security requirements Must possess Active Secret Security Clearance Typing speed of 35 wpm or more, preferred One (1) year of specialized experience which includes dispatching emergency and/or non-emergency services; operating various telecommunication systems and/or equipment, preferred Hazmat Awareness, Telecommunicator I/II, EMD certifications, preferred Experience: Must have computer experience and have a thorough knowledge of Microsoft office. Skills: Excellent computer skills required as well as interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED: Microsoft Office Programs – Mainly PowerPoint, Excel, and Access. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Work is generally conducted in with mild exposure to extreme climatic conditions. Working in a military environment brings the potential for exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents. Employee use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas, but not on a daily basis. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, vision and hearing protective devices. Must comply with OSHA, EPA, and Fire Regulations and published company work rules. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES: Physical requirements include lifting, climbing, extended sitting or standing, or other physical efforts that are typically required.
