In this role, you will be providing level III server support to our engineering lab in Montreal. Additionally, you will be analyzing, evaluating, and reviewing business problems and automating systems.

 

This position requires you to be in our Saint-Laurent, Canada office 5-days a week

 

No relocation budget for this role


Responsibilities:
Participates in analyzing, evaluating, and reviewing business problems to be solved with automated systems Supports and maintains machine and enterprisewide applications associated with the collection, retrieval, accessibility and usage of data for internal department planning and activitiesContributes to process flows and solutions for business problemsPerforms configuration, setup, and updating of work stations and service.  Works with team to design extensions and tailored solutions required for aligning packaged patches for engineering lab devicesMay set up user accesses and maintain user privilegesContributes to make changes in engineering lab development, maintenance and system standards. Provides timely resolution of problems or escalation on behalf of customerPerforms system upgrades including deploying, patching and inventory Provides timely resolution of problems or escalation in engineering labEnsures availability and performance of systems in lab environment through proactive, as well as reactive analysis and maintenanceWorks with cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.Minimum 2+ years of work experience.Fluency in English required.Experience with monitoring and alerting systems to ensure system health and uptime.Knowledgeable in Ansible automation and other similar tools.Experienced with monitoring tools like Zabbix or others.Hands on experience with Windows and Linux. Familiar with patch management and automation.Comfortable with scripting and automation using tools like Bash, PowerShell and Ansible.Hands-on experience with virtualization tools such as VMWare, hyper-v, Proxmox.

Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to understand end user issues.Technical hands-on experience.Able to work independently and excel in a collaborative environment.Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot operating systems.Demonstrated knowledge of IT systems /applications.Ability to manage new systems and tools.Experience in documenting and maintaining up to date systems procedures.Solid analytical skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high growth, rapidly changing environment.Ability to identify and implement process improvements.
