ABOUT THE ROLE

The Desktop Engineer is a member of the Desktop Management team and responsible for the management, operations, and maintenance of all IT hardware for Hub end users, both employees and contractors.  The engineer is responsible for managing the ticket queues, working with contracted third-party vendors, working escalations to resolution, and identifying and addressing improvement opportunities. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required, as there is a wide variety of IT hardware across the 500+ HUB offices.

MAJOR DUTIES: 

Desktop Support

Responsible for providing support and troubleshooting for client computing issues and endpoint security related issues as requestedSupport all aspects of PC deploymentsManage the lifecycle of Desktop Management change requests from inception to implementationAnalyzes problem trends and develop ideas to achieve incident and problem resolutionSupport the Intune / SCCM Engineers to help test and validate images, task sequences, and change requestsProvide input and support to the Field Services personnelMaintain the knowledge base of desktop support processes and support articles

QUALIFICATIONS:

Able to demonstrate the ability to undertake the above responsibilitiesDemonstrated knowledge of desktop support and desktop softwareDemonstrable experience in leading contractors and vendor partner teamsDemonstrated ability to work in a diverse environment of incident management, service requests, escalation procedures, and related disciplinesAble to work under pressure and meet deadlinesProven communication skills including the ability to work collaboratively with end-users and executivesStrong interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), negotiation, and collaboration skills incorporating the ability to effectively work with all levels of the organizationDemonstrated high level analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify issues and risks and work with HUB stakeholders for resolutionPossess shared vision and values that create culture of customer service, accountability, capability building

 REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in desktop supportExperience in desktops, laptops, printing, peripherals, and conference room supportWindows 10 and 11 experience with enterprise desktop deployments and managementIntune and SCCM experience a plusNexthink experience a plus

Disclosure required under applicable municipal regulations in NY and NJ, as well as the law in Colorado: The expected salary range for this position is $75K to $85K and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
