This role evaluates new technologies and recommends solutions that improve the user experience, security, stability, and increased productivity. The role will serve as a technology SME for Microsoft Windows and focus on the design, administration, monitoring, and stability of our Microsoft Windows environment across the organization. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:** **Collaboration and Projects:** + Work with Tier 3 support team members and cross-functional teams to complete software deployments + Lead or assist in the design and implementation of new technologies and solutions + Participate in the planning and execution of system upgrades and migrations **Incident Support and Management:** + Provide Tier 3 support for Windows desktop issues escalated from Tier 1/Tier 2 support teams + Diagnose and resolve complex software issues + Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement permanent fixes + Communicate with customers as required, keeping them informed of support progress + Document solutions and create knowledgebase articles to improve future support processes **Documentation and Reporting:** + Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, procedures, and support issues + Generate reports within management tools to support enterprise wide decisions **User Support and Training:** + Provide guidance and training to Tier 1/Tier 2 support staff when new technologies or solutions are implemented Various other duties as assigned **SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE** + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related technical field, or equivalent practical working experience + 3+ years in Desktop Engineering role + Experience with system imaging, deployment, and management tools (SCCM, Intune) + Experience with Windows 10/11 operating system support and management + Experience packaging, deploying, and supporting applications such as Microsoft Office and Outlook, O365, and various other user applications + Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, CMD) + Proficient in Active Directory and Group Policy + Familiarity with cloud services and integration (Microsoft Intune, Azure) + Familiarity with change management or ITIL + Familiarity with privilege management (BeyondTrust) + Advanced troubleshooting/problem solving skills + Excellent written and verbal English communication and interpersonal skills + Excellent customer service skills + Self-driven, motivated, able to engage with other engineers to brainstorm, plan, and architect major projects **WORKING CONDITIONS** + Corporate office environment + On-premise presence generally expected daily _We are an ambitious, resourceful, and driven workforce, which empowers us to THINK OUTSIDE.
