Desktop Support Engineer
The Desktop Support Engineer will work with the Sr. IT Manager to set up and support all employees including new hire setups and support. This Engineer will take the lead position and ownership of various projects and IT initiatives and will be responsible for the outcome and success of projects. This role involves responding to queries, running diagnostic programs, isolating problems, and determining and implementing solutions. On-call rotation is required for all team members. This is a hybrid role with 1-2 days a week remote. 

Contract Duration: 6 months+
Required Skills & Experience Advanced experience with building and ownership of JAMF/ABM and/or Intune/Autopilot; MDM management Strong Knowledge of owning platforms - Azure AD/Entra ID, Office 365 administration, Teams administration, and Sharepoint administration Experience in scripting - Powershell/Python/other scripting languages Excellent Problem Solving and critical thinking skills Strong passion for innovation Experience troubleshooting technical issues Willingness to learn and self-educate Passion for customer service Ability to multitask and manage time Work both independently and in teams as needed Both Written and verbal communication skills Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science OR Minimum 5+ Years experience in an advanced technical role US Military or Veteran a plus

What You Will Be Doing

Daily Responsibilities
Design, Build, and implement solutions for device enrollment, endpoint management, policy configuration & app deployment using Microsoft Intune (Windows/Android), AutoPilot, Apple Business Manager (ABM), and JAMF Pro (Apple) Test, install, and set up application programs on user’s workstations Provide escalated technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software Maintain user account administration across multiple systems and platforms, including but not limited to, Azure AD/Entra ID, Office 365, Teams, Sharepoint, Intune/Autopilot, JAMF/ABM, and more Maintain and update PCs, MACs, printers, mobile devices, and related auxiliary systems Ownership of monthly run activities, including but not limited to, software deployment, packaging, and vulnerability management Work with vendors to evaluate new technology Self-Manage daily Service Desk issues by being a support escalation point, driving aging tickets and customer service issues to completion Provides feedback to IT Management and MSPs as it relates to the services provided from the service desk and other business units Monitor the performance of company’s desktop infrastructure and provide suggestions to improve efficiency Developing automation and scripts using PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages Development experience with ticketing systems, and automation for Atlassian products (Jira Software, Jira Service Desk, Confluence, and plugins) Maintenance of infrastructure technologies following the change management process - logging of change management tickets, seeking appropriate approvals, testing, and release Troubleshoot, investigate and document system configuration and performance anomalies Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions Build and own documentation to support problem analysis and resolution through KB articles Troubleshoot users’ issues and resolve problems Assist Infrastructure Team with troubleshooting network issues and network upgrades as necessary, to include after-hours testing and releases as needed Resolves and immediately responds to employees calls/texts and communication after-hours for urgent issues, including emergency on site support as needed Experience assisting Leadership with technical support. Advice leadership on the best technological solutions for an organization
