Desktop Support Technician
Description We are seeking a skilled Voice Technician with expertise in Cisco Call Manager, Cisco UCCX contact center, and cloud-based SaaS phone and contact center solutions. The ideal candidate will provide operational support and troubleshooting for our network environment, ensuring seamless communication across our organization. Daily Responsibilities: + Provide day-to-day operational support and troubleshooting for the network environment (Cisco, Avaya) across voice gateways, virtualization, Unity Connection, PBX, and more. + Demonstrate a foundational understanding of telephony fundamentals, including architectures, models, protocols, IP addressing, basic router/switch configurations, network security, voice router, and gateway configuration and support. + Conduct triage and resolution of voice and network issues and outages. + Work on small projects and operational tasks. + Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders for voice-related service-affecting activities. + Learn and adopt new technologies and best practices across telephony, CCaaS, UCaaS, Cloud PBX, AI, and process improvement. + Continuously monitor and analyze voice network traffic usage, troubleshooting gateways, cloud, servers, network configuration, and monitoring. + Backup and collaborate with the current full-time Avaya support person. + Handle tasks such as changing call trees, investigating call logs, handling user requests (e.g., headset shipments, voicemail and password resets), and working with the Avaya vendor to resolve major system issues. Required Skills: + Proficiency in Cisco voice, VoIP, Avaya, telecommunications systems, Cisco Call Manager, phone systems, telecommunications, ticketing systems, and routing. Additional Skills & Qualifications: + In-depth knowledge of Cisco Call Manager and Cisco UCCX contact center. + Experience with cloud-based SaaS phone and contact center solutions.
