Desktop Technician
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Desktop Technician in San Antonio, TX. Summary: This role involves technical software and hardware installation/support and informal training on hardware and software use in response to customer requests. It follows established procedures for configuration changes, updates, and upgrades, and assists in deploying new images, software/hardware upgrades, and fixes. This position does not involve supervision. Essential Job Functions: * Desktop Technician will assist in deploying new computers related to the PC replacement program, software/hardware upgrades, and fixes * Install and re-image desktops, laptops, and peripherals * Respond to Tier II support requests via phone, email, and Microsoft Teams, interacting with customers courteously and professionally * Follow established procedures for configuration changes, updates, and upgrades * Document incident/problem status and resolution in a tracking log, alert team members about recurring problems, document solutions to common problems, and respond to frequently asked questions; Provide on-the-spot training to customers and identify recurring problems to notify team members * Troubleshoot problems, evaluate multiple options to resolve customer issues using checklists and scripts as guides, research and troubleshoot issues at the direction of others, document problem status and resolution, and escalate when necessary
