Desktop Technician
Our professional services client has an immediate opening for a Desktop Technician in their Edmonton office.

In this role, you will be in the office 4 days a week.

Responsibilities:
Provide advanced hardware and software support for escalated user issues.Install, maintain, and test printers across various operating systems, recommending driver updates as needed.Manage user accounts and group memberships.Collaborate with vendors to resolve complex technical issues.Track and update outstanding tasks using ticketing software.Communicate updates on unresolved issues to the Desktop Support team.Assist with firm-wide software and hardware rollouts.Support office moves related to desktop and telephone relocations.Set up and maintain Audio/Visual equipment, including projectors, conference phones, and video conferencing systems.Work with Help Desk and Applications teams to troubleshoot and resolve user issues.Ensure seamless integration of desktop systems with servers and administrative platforms.Test and update drivers in collaboration with Desktop Architects.Maintain an inventory of desktops and printers.Develop and update procedural documentation as required.Perform additional tasks as assigned.Qualifications:
Minimum of three years of technical support experience.College diploma or university degree in IT or equivalent work experience.Strong knowledge of desktop productivity software, PDF tools, and document management systems.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).Exceptional troubleshooting skills within Microsoft Windows environments.Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, networking, desktop technologies, and computer imaging.Experience with software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.Strong client service orientation with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Positive, flexible, and solution-focused mindset.
