Overview
Assist the Manager of Alcohol & Drug Addiction Services with overall supervision and guidance of support staff.
Responsibilities
+ Answer telephone and assist callers as needed, complete client “initial screening sheet” and file for future use and review.
+ If applicable, assist the night nurse with client care – ie alert clients when needed by the nurse for vital checks and medications.
+ Prepare client meal list daily, issue client meal tickets, secure meals for clients confined to the Detox floor. Ready clients for breakfast, escort to dining room, if needed.
+ Complete daily “team leader” report, fine in Manager’s mailbox.
+ Coordinate cleanliness of client rooms, bathrooms, day room and common areas on the Detox floor.
+ Complete laundry and clothes washing as needed.
+ Complete filing of client records – yellow and white cards on top of the filing cabinet
+ Other duties as designated by the ADAS manager and/or Executive Director
Qualifications
+ High School diploma or GED
+ Must be able to routinely lift and carry boxes weighing 50 pounds or more.
+ Must be able to use stairs, when necessary, for building evacuations, drills or during elevator maintenance.
+ Read and write legibly. Good communication skills.
+ Current CPR/First Aid certification or in process of obtaining.
+ Effective in dealing with the public and/or dealing with intoxicated individuals
