Dev Security Engineer
Numerator is looking for a DevSecOps Engineer with a focus on security to ensure the safety and reliability of our ever-growing data assets. As part of our team, you will leverage your DevOps and security experience to ensure that we continue to develop solutions that are a balance of great security and ease of implementation. You will bring your willingness to learn and excitement to continue the conversation about the future growth of our applications and environment. You would be joining our distributed DevOps team where you will get the opportunity to work alongside the Hosting, Engineering and the Data Science team in crafting the future of Numerator’s infoSec. What you'll get to do Use cloud-based security tools to help improve security across the company. Build tools and automation scripts that enable developers to easily consume security services. Improve the accessibility of security through automation, CI/CD pipelines, and other means. Assist in hardening security best practices. Ensuring that applications are conforming to the security standards that the team puts forward. Implement security tools across a variety of codebases and languages to automate processes. Keep up to date with the latest and greatest best practices in security. 3+ years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or as a DevSecOps Engineer. On call rotation for inbound CVE & Alerts (Investigate, Triage & Coordination orf remediation) Familiarity or exposure to any of these tools or systems: AWS, Azure, GCP cloud capabilities (Prefer AWS) as well as CI/CD practices building, integrating, and deploying software into cloud-based environments. Terraform, Bash, Kubernetes, Docker, Atlantis Jenkins, Git, GitHub Actions. Development experience with at least one modern language Python (preferred), Ruby, Java. Exposure to security principles and how to apply them. Up-to-date knowledge of current best practices and the latest software. Knowledge of infrastructure as code and its advantages. Motivation to participate in ongoing learning and growth through pair programming, test-driven development, code reviews, and application of new technologies and best practices. Strong sense of ownership and pride in the products you will be building. You look ahead to identify opportunities and foster a culture of innovation.
