Your New Role:
The Developer, DevOps & Automation will have a strong background in developing and deploying automation solutions using various tools. Will play a pivotal role in streamlining and optimizing development and operational processes across the organization.
This role requires a deep understanding of DevOps principles, a passion for automation, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and innovation.
Your Role Accountabilities:
OPERATIONS/PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Develop and maintain automation workflows: Design, develop, and maintain automation workflows and pipelines using robust automation platforms and tools to streamline development, testing, and deployment processes, including debugging and error handling. DevOps implementation: Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release management. Monitor and optimize infrastructure: Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of automation solutions and infrastructure by monitoring system performance and implementing necessary optimizations. Platform Administration: Manage and maintain enterprise platforms (e.g., GitHub Enterprise, Docker Hub Enterprise, or similar systems) to ensure secure and efficient usage across the organization. Responsibilities include configuring role-based access controls, managing code repositories and workflows, integrating these platforms with automation tools, monitoring system health, and addressing performance bottlenecks. Additionally, oversee compliance with security policies and provide user support for these platforms. Integration Management: Configure and integrate development and automation tools with other enterprise systems for seamless workflows. Continuous improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement innovative solutions to enhance team productivity and operational efficiency. Documentation and training: Create comprehensive documentation and provide training to team members on automation tools and processes. Collaboration and communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and product managers, to understand requirements and deliver high-quality automation solutions.STRATEGY
Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand team needs and dependencies to better align business processes Accurately and clearly articulate strategic issues and provide relevant, logical options for solving them Build and maintain business intelligence tools and dashboards to measure success using KPIs, driving informed decision-making. Leverage automation platforms to integrate data sources and streamline reporting workflows, enhancing real-time insights and enabling proactive data-driven decisions. Actively participate in stakeholder meetings with the goal of understanding all major projects and initiatives planned.Qualifications & Experiences:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. 2+ years of Proven experience in DevOps and automation development, with expertise in various automation tools. Strong experience with debugging and error handling for automation platforms. Strong proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and automation frameworks. Expertise in API development, integration, and management across multiple runtime environments, languages, and frameworks. Expertise in designing and building automation solutions for workflows, pipelines, and data integration (e.g. Snowflake, AWS RDS for PostgreSQL, etc.). Solid understanding of DevOps principles and best practices, including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and configuration management. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. Understanding of database systems, data pipelines, and ETL processes Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to a positive and productive team culture. High adaptability and initiative, especially in fast-paced and ambiguous scenarios.Not Required but preferred experience:
Certifications: Relevant certifications in DevOps, automation, or related technologies. Cloud experience: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Agile methodology: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and practices. Knowledge of and passion for media, entertainment, and technology industries (including key players, growth trends and drivers, new media models, industry structure, etc.) Familiarity with streaming and similar products/services Experience working in a national or global company Some visualization tool knowledge would be helpful (i.e. Tableau, Power BI) Comfortable in working in highly iterative and somewhat unstructured environment Background in managing additional enterprise systems or emerging technologies.How We Get Things Done…
