The development center of SAP in Bulgaria plays a key role in the defining and developing of the SAP Business Technology Platform. With its more than 1400 professionals, SAP Labs Bulgaria also has strong contributions toward life-cycle management, user interface & user experience across the broader portfolio of SAP products and has recently welcomed new teams focusing on business applications. In SAP Business Technology Platform, we are committed to providing high quality solutions that ensure business continuity and data integrity for our clients. We are setting up a new team of professionals to enhance the Availability and Disaster Recovery capabilities of our platform. Key aspects would be Prove of Concepts, deriving best practices/requirements for other teams and development of reusable services. The team's role is critical in ensuring our clients' data is always available and secure, regardless of geographical challenges.

We are looking for a Software Engineer to work on tools and reusable services for asynchronous data replication between regions.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement tools and services for asynchronous data replication across different regions. Create comprehensive guidance and best practices for high availability and disaster recovery strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions.

Requirements:

BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Fluent in English, both spoken and written. Creative thinking, with a willingness and ability to quickly learn new concepts and technologies. Result-oriented and self-organized work style. Team player with strong collaboration skills. Proficiency in at least one programing language - preferable Go Experience in working with Linux and Containerization (Docker) Experience with Bash and Python Understanding of basic Computer Networking (OSI), DNS, Load Balancing Experience with Cloud Infrastructure Provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) Experience with Terraform or other Infra as Code solution Experience with CI/CD systems and automation Experience with distributed applications
