Responsibilities
As a Developer working within the BioPharma space within the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology (DLMP), you will be a test developer and innovator who develops, innovates, evaluates and implements novel/new tests, methodologies, technologies, and products for the laboratory under the intellectual and scientific guidance of laboratory directors and [DT3]. Additional responsibilities include:
Improvement of existing methodsImplementation of novel technology of proven validity Organization of new method validation dataPreparing data for publication and peer reviewParticipation in formal presentationsActively partner with team members by fostering an inclusive work environment and respecting others with different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives*Individuals hired to this position are required to complete 2 years in this position before becoming eligible to apply to other positions within Mayo Clinic.

Qualifications
To be considered for this position you must have:
Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science (CLS/MLS), medical technology (MT), chemistry, biological science with 2 years of relevant laboratory experience ORBachelor's degree AND a certificate in MLS, with 2 years of relevant laboratory experience*A HEW certificate may be substituted for the specified degree.
Additional Qualifications
Experience in cell culture, heme, and solid tumor samples preferred.LIS build knowledge, validation, and implementation experience preferred.Master's degree from an accredited institution in chemical, physical, biological, clinical laboratory science or medical technology or Doctoral degree (PhD) in chemistry or a biological science preferred. Self-motivated, highly organized, efficient, and able to work independently exercising strong decision-making skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary. Capable of reproducing a reference method using available procedures without supervision. Demonstrated analytical and scientific competency with development and/or validation of lab techniques or procedures. Experience with data collection, organization, analysis and delivery of information. ASCP or other certification pertinent to the laboratory field may be required depending on the laboratory specialty and prevailing regulatory requirements.Application Requirements
