What you’ll do
The current requirement is for an ABAP Associate Developer / Developer position within SAP’s Private Cloud Products organization. In this role, you will be responsible for one or more products within the HCM (Human Capital Management) module. You will investigate, assess, and solve issues in new and existing code at Development Support level, as well as undertake Continuous Innovation / Development projects, to release feature enhancements and new feature developments based on customer demand and product roadmap. You will need to work with high quality, reliability, efficiency, attention to detail, and collaborate closely with colleagues within and outside the team to ensure customer success. In your day-to-day tasks you will need:
Techno-functional expertise in the allocated product(s). High self-motivation and curiosity to learn with minimum handholding and gain deep techno-functional expertise in the assigned product areas. Preparedness to take up remote knowledge transfer sessions within our global development teams with minimal handholding. High commitment to quality, and the perseverance to perform in-depth, technical and functional analysis of complex issues faced by SAP customers and formulate appropriate solutions. Strong customer focus to resolve customer issues in a timely manner while maintaining high Customer satisfaction. Ability to articulate technical and functional information clearly for external and internal customers and stakeholders and manage expectations. Professional outlook to operate in a globally distributed organization and take full accountability and ownership of deliverables. High proactiveness to take up additional/new topics as needed. High discipline to appropriately prioritize tasks, develop detailed designs with estimated efforts, and drive topics to completion. Innovation mindset, with a commitment to continuous improvement and optimization of support activities. Ability to quickly ramp-up on latest AI and Gen-AI technologies, and prepare for upcoming use cases in SAP’s product road-maps.

If this sounds like you, do you also bring:
Graduate / Post-Graduate degree in Engineering or Equivalent Degree. Total 2 – 7 years of hands-on developer experience. Strong domain knowledge in SAP ERP HCM and SAP S/4 HANA is preferred. High proficiency in software design principles and object-oriented design and development. Strong hands-on experience in ABAP, OOABAP (mandatory). Prior hands-on experience in SQL, UI5, Fiori, CDS views or RAP would be a plus. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills. Ability to develop architectural and functional skills Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong team player and ability to work successfully in culturally diverse environments. Strong customer focus and the ability to manage customer expectations under pressure High accountability and ownership, with utmost regard for quality Ability to collaborate across LoBs (lines of businesses) as an when required Ability to develop deep functional expertise and take product ownership in HCM module
