Developer I-II Lab Data Technician (PCAPP)

Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Developer I (Lab Data Tech). This position is in Pueblo, CO. 

 

Designs and develops solutions to support diverse business systems and processes of limited scope (e.g. Laboratory Information Management System [LIMS]).  Selected candidate translates user/functional requirements into system requirements or code logic. 
 

Responsibilities Assists with the development of PCAPP laboratory information management system (LIMS) product specifications and design descriptions. Assists with the identification functional/user requirements to fully integrate plant operations into sample workflows into project developed LIMS.   Preforms research or fact finding to develop or maintain the PCAPP laboratory information management system (LIMS) and supporting subsystems.  Applies standard practices to analyze programs and formulate logic, prepare flowcharting, perform coding and test/debug programs.Assists system design and analysis in support of code/system verification, validation test plans, and configuration management efforts to document the system requirements or performance.Assists in the development of strategies to evaluate and debug functional areas with an emphasis on increased productivity, reliability and throughput.Prepares and obtains approval of system and programming documentation.  This will include execution of end-user training in support of initial training or change management requirements.Provides end user training to laboratory staff.Provides recommendations for purchased software or hardware as appropriate based on experience and/or expertise.  Identifies, maintains and enhances opportunities to advance individual technical skills on relevant topics and technologies. 
 Key Qualifications Reqquires a bachelor’s degree in Computer and Information Systems/Information Technology or equivalent required.Experience includes C#, XPObject, Windows Forms, MS SQL, Oracle and/or SQL-PL programming, preferred.Design experience in VS dot NET and LINQ programming environments, Windows operating environment, Microsoft Access and Microsoft Office applications, preferred.

 

Additional selection and retention criteria may include the ability to:

Successfully pass medical screen, including the ability to wear a respirator and other PPE, lift up to 50 lbs--may involve work in close proximity of toxic chemicals.Must be a US Citizen.  The applicant selected may be subject to a national agency check security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to be placed in a Public Trust Position.  Flexibility to respond to urgent project requests and/or changing priorities.  This position may be required to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and on-call.PCAPP is subject to Army Regulations (AR50-6 Chemical Surety Program and AR190-59 Unescorted Access Program) which govern persons performing work under the Chemical Personnel Reliability Program (CPRP) and Unescorted Access Program (UAP). Eligibility to be placed in a CPRP or UAP position requires US citizenship. Employees must favorably complete a series of screenings to include but not limited to: a National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC) security investigation, drug/alcohol testing and medical examination.PCAPP operates on a 24/7 schedule.  This position may be required to work a schedule of rotating shifts including nights, weekends or holidays. All employees are subject to and agree to random drug and alcohol testing as a condition of continued employment for the duration of their assignment. Respiratory screening and the ability to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) may be required for this position. The ability to obtain/maintain access to the Pueblo Chemical Depot is required.Salary

$53,000- $76,000
