What you will be doing:

Enabling the delivery of a consistent level of service and data to our customerPlaying a key role on a collaborative team, responsible for the design and production of mission critical, enterprise-scale business solutionsMentoring and coaching members of the team on technologies, implementation, and development best practicesDeveloping a thorough understanding of the logistics business and risk management domainsMaintaining an awareness of evolving technologies in use by other teams at Expeditors and in the technology industry as a whole

This position is on-site and will reside in the greater Seattle, WA. area at one of the following locations depending on availability. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

BS in Computer Science, a similar field of study, or comparable work experienceMinimum 1-2 years of JAVA experienceceCurious, motivated to learn something new every dayFun, patient, and an active listenerCustomer service-oriented attitude and top-notch time managementExperience writing unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in Object-oriented programming and component-based developmentExperience with SQL and relational database design/developmentUnderstanding of Agile software development methodologiesExperience programming with Java in professional settingExperience with Maven, Junit, Angular, Spring Boot, and IntelliJ IDEExperience with Distributed Systems, SOAP API design, and Apache KafkaExperience with Eclipse or Visual Studio Code IDE's, various plug-ins, Maven, NexusExperience with Git, branching, and merge requests/pull requestsExperience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, security and monitoring

Additional Information

Expected base salary:  $100,000 to $145,000

May be eligible for bonus following first year of continuous employment in position.
