The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop BMC firmware solutions to support remote management and monitoring functionalities for server platforms.

• Implement features such as system health monitoring, power/Thermal management, firmware updates, remote console access and various other features with relation to requirement

• Collaborate with hardware engineers to define BMC hardware requirements and ensure seamless integration with the overall system architecture.

• Work closely with software engineers to develop APIs and interfaces for BMC functionality integration with higher-level management software.

• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of BMC firmware to ensure reliability, performance, and security.

• Analyze and resolve issues reported by customers or identified during internal testing and validation.

• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to server management and firmware development.

 

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in firmware development with a focus on BMC or embedded systems.

• Proficiency in C++ programming languages and familiarity with scripting languages such as Python.

• Proven experience in Linux kernel development, with a deep understanding of kernel internals and subsystems

• Familiarity with kernel debugging tools such as GDB, KDB, and crash.

• Strong understanding of server architecture, hardware interfaces, and communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART, Ethernet, IPMI).

• Experience with ARM-based microcontrollers and embedded Linux development is highly desirable.

• Knowledge of security principles and best practices in firmware development.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
