Job Description

As a full-stack developer you will be a part of the Analytics team, responsible for the design and production of one of EXP.O NOW's key functional areas. The Analytics team is focused on the launch of a modern cloud-based business intelligence solution leveraging Microsoft Power BI embedded in the EXP.O NOW platform, providing insights that empower customers to manage their supply chain more effectively.

In this role we need someone who will understand business problems and opportunities and apply their technical skills in the design, development and testing of data flows, applications, and systems.  Equally important, we need someone intent on growing into a team leader, focused not only on success of our technical solutions but also on mentoring teammates in pursuit of their own growth and success.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Play a key role on a collaborative cross-functional team, responsible for the design and production of mission critical, enterprise-scale systemsTranslate requirements into system design specifications, and implement systems throughout the entire software development life cycleDevelop a thorough understanding of the logistics business and analytics domainsStay updated with evolving technologies and apply them to enhance the team's solutions and processesSupport and participate in DevSecOps practices and processesDeploy and manage applications using Azure cloud-native infrastructure, ensuring scalability and reliabilityCollaborate with cross-functional teams to provide new applications and features to serve our customersMaintain an awareness of evolving technologies in use by other teams at Expeditors and in the technology industry as a wholeMentor and coach team members on technologies, implementation, and development best practicesParticipate in on-call rotations for production support issues

This position is on-site and will reside in the greater Seattle, WA. area at one of the following locations depending on availability. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

BS or BA in Computer Science or similar; or comparable work experience 5+ years of professional software development experience3+ years in professional setting in the following areas:building backend code to write business logic, database queries, and APIs using tools such as Java/Spring, C++, or Kotlinbuilding front-end clients implementing SPAs with a TypeScript framework like Angular or a JavaScript library like React Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise systems Experience implementing REST services security using JWT, OAuth, or other related technologies and standards

Customer service-oriented attitude and great time-management skillsAbility to communicate across IT and Business rolesDemonstrated experience leading development teams, mentoring and coaching others in a team environmentExperience with Agile and SAFe methodologiesExperience in more than one of the following areas:developing in and provisioning within a Cloud infrastructure similar to Azure, including Web-based and service-based architectures and deployment paradigmsJava frameworks such as Spring, Spring Bootevent Driven Architecture, Domain Driven Design, CQRS, Kafkarelational databases, SQL, and ORMs in enterprise applications developing and utilizing Graph APIs, such as GraphQL

Additional Information

Expected base salary:  $110,000 to $175,000
