Developer III - Software Engineering

Role Proficiency:

Independently develops error free code with high quality validation of applications guides other developers and assists Lead 1 – Software Engineering

Outcomes:

     Understand and provide input to the application/feature/component designs; developing the same in accordance with user stories/requirements.      Code debug test document and communicate product/component/features at development stages.      Select appropriate technical options for development such as reusing improving or reconfiguration of existing components.      Optimise efficiency cost and quality by identifying opportunities for automation/process improvements and agile delivery models      Mentor Developer 1 – Software Engineering and Developer 2 – Software Engineering to effectively perform in their roles      Identify the problem patterns and improve the technical design of the application/system      Proactively identify issues/defects/flaws in module/requirement implementation       Assists Lead 1 – Software Engineering on Technical design. Review activities and begin demonstrating Lead 1 capabilities in making technical decisions

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in creating robust, scalable, and visually appealing Android apps using Java/Kotlin and be passionate about staying updated on the latest trends and best practices in Android development. Roles & Responsibilities 1. Design, develop, and maintain high-quality native Android applications using Java/Kotlin. 2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. 3. Work closely with UI/UX designers to implement user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing mobile interfaces. 4. Integrate third-party APIs, libraries, and services to enhance app functionality. 5. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. 6. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices. 7. Troubleshoot and resolve application issues and bugs. 8. Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and offline functionality. 9. Participate in code reviews, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing development team. 10. Proven experience developing Android applications using Java and/or Kotlin. 2. Strong understanding of the Android SDK, Android Studio, and development tools. 3. Proficient in writing unit test cases 4. Proficient with RESTful APIs, HTTP stack, and Web services 5. Familiar with the connected features i.e. Bluetooth, WiFi 6. Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle. 7. Hands on experience of mobile application development with two or more apps on the google play store 8. Knowledge of Configuration Management methodologies (source code version control, bug tracking and requirement traceability). 9. Should be well versed with Agile 10. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Good to have 1. Experience with native mobile app development (Java/Kotlin for Android or Swift for iOS). 2. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and app automation tools.
