Summary:
We seek an experienced Senior Automation Engineer, as part of the newly established Provisioning CoE in the Product Engineering board area. You will lead the design and implementation of our provisioning and integration automation self-service toolset, supporting the entire SAP’s Cloud solutions portfolio.
Your team directly contributes to the success of our corporate strategy by ensuring a harmonized Suite First experience, putting the customer at the center, and enabling a seamless up-sell/cross-sell across the portfolio.
The Role:
As Senior Automation Engineer, your main responsibility is to design and develop automation self-service tools, which increase the efficiency of our SAP Cloud Solutions. You work with a small co-located team of engineers, contributing to that effort. You act as a role model, ensuring execution always aligns with the greater mission and reflects our corporate goals. You quickly resolve issues by showing in-depth technical expertise, thought leadership, and negotiation skills, tapping into the combined knowledge within the Automation Factory team. You maintain active engagement with all stakeholders and ensure consistent, clear communication both towards the engaged Cloud solutions, as well to your fellow teammates.
What you bring
You have a strong automation engineering background, being responsible to design, develop, validate, ship and operate cloud native solutions at scale.BA/MA/Diploma in a technical field of study; At least 7 years of experience in DevOps or a similar role, with significant exposure to automation and integration.
Technical expertise
Strong programming and design skills; Deep understanding of configuration management tools; Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure management and API integration; Knowledge of networking, security protocols and best practices; Experience with the SAP applications portfolio is an advantage; Very strong analytical thinking: ability to structure problems and their potential solution proposals. CPA experience is an advantage; Excellent technical skills (programming languages, cloud technologies).
Meet your team:
The newly founded Provisioning CoE team will significantly reduce time-to-value (TTV), improve customers' unboxing experience satisfaction, and drive tangible improvement across all the involved tools and processes concerning the PE applications portfolio. The team will define and drive the execution of a PE North Star strategy for consumption, provisioning, and integration, putting customers in the center and lowering their bar for entry from contract signature to go-live.
