The Development Associate plays a vital role in advancing the mission of the Cambridge Health Alliance Foundation by supporting annual fundraising efforts, donor engagement, communications, and stewardship programs. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented and creative professional with excellent organizational skills, a passion for storytelling, and an interest in healthcare philanthropy.
The Development Associate will manage the annual fund program, coordinate internal and external communications (including newsletters, annual report, and social media), support donor stewardship, oversee project timelines, and ensure accurate fund transfers to hospital departments. The role requires close collaboration with the hospital's Marketing and Communications team to ensure aligned messaging, effective content sharing, and unified branding across platforms.
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, or related field.
+ 2+ years of experience in fundraising, communications, or project management, preferably in a healthcare or nonprofit setting.
+ Exceptional writing and storytelling skills.
+ Strong organizational and project management abilities; able to manage multiple deadlines.
+ Proficiency with donor databases, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and digital tools (e.g., Canva, Mailchimp, social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Linkedin).
+ Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments, especially with marketing, communications, and clinical teams, researchers, operations, finance, HR.
+ Commitment to confidentiality and sensitivity when working with donor and patient information.
**Preferred:**
+ Experience in healthcare philanthropy or hospital foundation setting.
+ Familiarity with graphic design or multimedia storytelling tools.
