Kootenai Health Foundation has a unique opportunity for a caring, dynamic and enthusiastic Foundation Development Director to join our sister hospitals SMH-CVH, located in Cottonwood/ Orofino, ID!
As the St. Mary’s Health’s and Clearwater Valley Health’s foundations Development Director you are responsible for the overall management of the foundations’ philanthropic programs.
As the onsite foundations Development Director, you will develop and execute the annual, major and legacy giving initiative, special event, employee giving campaign and stewardship activities!
St. Mary’s Health & Clearwater Valley Health and clinics are nestled among the high mountain prairies and rivers of North Central Idaho, including the beautiful Clearwater, Lochsa, Selway and Salmon Rivers, and in close proximity to the Clearwater National Forest, Seven Devils and Hells Canyon Recreation Areas, and the Gospel Hump and Frank Church “River of No Return” Wilderness.

What you will do:
Develop annual fundraising plan for both St. Mary’s Health’s and Clearwater Valley Health’s foundations Identify, cultivate, and solicit individuals for contributions Create fundraising appeals for direct mail, email, and grateful patient programs Design and execute special events to raise funds Manage annual employee giving campaigns Develop and manage stewardship plans for individual and legacy donors Build trusting relationships with current and prospective donors, staff and volunteers Work with Advisory Boards and Volunteer Committees to execute philanthropic programs Work closely with the Kootenai Health Foundation staff including alignment of processes Maintain confidentiality and follows HIPAA regulations and policies
What you will bring:
Bachelor’s degree required Minimum 3 years relevant experience required Previous development/fundraising experience preferred
** To be considered for this role, candidates must currently live in a community supported by St. Mary's Health or Clearwater Valley Health, or be willing to relocate to one of these communities.
