The Development Engineer will perform production data analysis, support new product shopfloor setup (Oracle etc….), and perform as onsite interface to the IT & Operating Systems Team to ensure proper and efficient processing of devices from Item Receipt to final disposition/liquidation. Experience with Labview, Microsoft Office, Visio, Adobe, and Minitab are essential skills. The generation of standalone reports and software tools will be essential to cover any gaps in the Operating System’s ability to accommodate the needed capability in question. Attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple objectives is required. Must be able to lead project teams and chair status meetings.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
Create, maintain, and test production support applications/tools using C#, Visual Basic, and heavy SQL, including, gathering requirements to create new applications needed in production, adding users, updates for new product introduction, creating reports and troubleshooting any issues the application may have.
Create and maintain label templates using CODESOFT and ZPL.
Create and add printer to production work benches as needed working with the IT department when network printers are needed.
Create ECR’s for Oracle processes, including but not limited, workstation number, inventory sub inventories and locators, Oracle process (workflow) changes or creation of new Oracle workflows.
Support new product launch activities, including but not limited to, device evaluation for new product process. Creation or update of work instructions to meet new product process needs. Create tools or reports for current and new product production monitoring.
Process improvement activities, create reporting and process analysis to improve processes using lean manufacturing methodology. Perform time studies to set UPH standards.
Develop requirements: work directly with operations leadership, users, and process engineers.
Coordinate UAT: work directly with operators to gather feedback on new changes before fully deploying.
Conveyor support, troubleshooting issues or new code deployment testing on conveyors working with the global automation team.
What are the requirements needed for this position?
Associate degree in Computer Science, or equivalent trade school certification.
5+ years of experience with Microsoft .NET 4.0 framework, both fat client and MVC, with C# / VB.
4+ year of experience with SQL Database Design, Data Modeling, stored procedures, functions, views, etc. with Oracle and SQL Server.
4+ years working with RESTful APIs / web services.
Excellent communication and presentation skills. Will interact directly with end users.
What other skill or experience would be useful in this role?
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science etc.
Azure cloud, Azure SQL, and Azure DevOps
Labeling software (Zebra, Dymo, Loftware)
Microsoft Office, Visio, Adobe Pro, AutoCAD, and Labview.
Warehouse Management Systems: Oracle eBS experience
Actively identify & pursuing process improvement initiatives.
Experience with Lean and Six Sigma statistical process control techniques.
Pay Range
$72,900.00 - $121,900.00
Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience, and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
